These dragonflies were the apparent victims of hit and run accidents on the roads of New Jersey.  The first dragonfly, a Twelve-spotted Skimmer (Libellula pulchella), was found near the intersection of Old York Rd and Rt 202 in Readington, NJ.  The second, which is a Common Green Darner (Anax junius), is from Rt 579 / Croton Road near Flemington, NJ.  These images were posed back in the studio.
